I think this project collage was fun and I have done pretty well, I also think what helped me most was doing the processes, learning step by step. Maybe I could have made it look a bit more realistic but what can you expect from a Photoshop. Anybody who does this in the future will love it because I know I have and they should make sure they keep their timing right. I think Photoshop is an excellent tool because it helps you to bring all you favorite memories/pictures together and put them into one. Photo shop will be a useful tool in the production of my website because it will help me scrapbook my photos and bring them together.

My Digital portfolio

Home page: In my homepage I am going to have a picture of myself and a short introduction of myself e.g. my name, how old I am, where I come from and where I live now. I will also introduce what my digital portfolio is about and everything in it.
School information: I will describe what I am going to talk about in this and give a picture of my school and a little description of it.
Favorite subjects: In this I will write a little bit about the subjects I like and don’t like and why. I will also include a picture of my favorite subject (the classroom).
My school projects: to narrow this down a bit I will include my major projects I have done in the past years I have been at this school. This will include a hyperlink to my technology projects and art projects and English projects pages. It will describe what I am going to explain in my other pages
Technology projects: this will included the projects I have done in technology over the past years I have been at this school. It will have videos and pictures in it.
Art projects: I will include all the art work I have done in the past three years I have been here. I will include my reports and some pictures of my art work.
English projects: this will include all the projects I have done. I will include in it some bits of my biography and my children’s book and other stuff.
Community and service: this will include my community and service activities I have done at this school.
Personnel information: in this I will describe/ summarize what all the pages linked to this are about.
My family: I will include pictures of my family and a little bit about them.
My hobbies and interests: I will include the things that I like to do in my spare time and some of the activities I do a school and why I like them.
My friends: I will include pictures of my friends and a little bit about them and also what we like to do together.
My history: I will include where I was born and some important times in my life. I will also include the countries I have lived in and been to on my holidays and all the schools I have been to. Some of my favorite holidays.
My personnel projects: I will include some of the personnel projects have done outside of school and how school has helped me top do some of these.
My future: in this I will include what my ambitions are and what I want to do when I’m older.

Exploring Software

HTML, Is this a good option for creating a digital portfolio?- I find the HTML software ok. It’s a little bit confusing though. I probably like it because the website that Mrs. Mora gave us because e the way that they explain it is simple but I also think that if I was to use it, it might be a little difficult. Front page and Dreamweaver look like they could be challenging but at the same time fun and they also have a few more advantages than HTML, but these advantages could make the process confusing. Here are some of the advantages of these two software’s.
What advantages do you have using these?- Dreamweaver’s WYSIWYG mode makes it easier, for people who find the coding of HTML confusing or for those non-coders, to create web pages and sites. Dreamweaver allows users to preview websites in locally-installed web browsers. It also has site management tools like synchronization features and templating features. I couldn’t find out what these where, so Mrs. Mora do you think you could tell me. Dreamweaver is also international and localization, this helps because it has different languages; so if you come from one place it will make it easier for you and it helps with regional accessibility. Dreamweaver operates on Microsoft windows and Mac OS.
FrontPage has its advantages too. For example it has an accessibility checker, which gives the user the ability to check if their Web site is easily accessible for people with disabilities and FrontPage has interactive buttons, these give users a new and easy way to create web graphics for finding things and links, getting rid of the need for a complicated image-editing package such as Adobe Photoshop, but it only operates on Microsoft Windows.
Wiki, What advantages or disadvantages does this have for you as a publication tool?- A wiki invites all users to edit any page or to create new pages within the wiki Web site. One disadvantage is that wiki uses a language similar to the HTML for editing pages. Many wikis now have "free linking" using brackets. Wikis are generally designed with the philosophy of making it easy to correct mistakes. Wikis allow anyone to edit the content.
I found it Hard to interpret some of the words and things to do with the codes and that is why I never mentioned them.

Digital Portfolio

Advantage: Portability- it is easier to transport than harder coppies




Disadvantege: veiwing a digital portfolio somtimes requires a special software and skills that the veiwer has to know, which oftan isnt avaliable. \

she also includes how she made her portfolio.I like the way the design colour, changes, it gradualy goes from light green to dark green. i think she could have put in more pictures to make it more colourfull and interesting. i also think the text could have been less, because it wasnt that apeling. I think it was very organised and that was good.

The hyperlinks worked very well and it was organized well. by cliking on any on the headings which are found on the left hand side you are imediatly hyperlinkled to the page that the headings give.

I love the colourfulness in his portfolio, it is very apealing. it is also very organised but it could also have more pictures in it. The hyperlinks worked and everything was easy to find. It was alot like the other one in finding things.
